This week we have explored and created abstract art. Children used simple materials to create foil relief artwork. Each individual piece contributed to the collage to create a masterpiece.
If you wish to recreate at home materials you will need are :
Permanent markers - different colours
We sampled lots of types of bread in preparation for designing and making our own sandwiches!
The fruit loaf was the most popular bread in hazel class with 10 votes in total. However, the least popular bread was the soda bread. 14 children plus Mrs Will and Mrs Gill thought this bread tasted horrible!!
In PSHE with Mrs Will we have been looking at mindsets. We read the story 'Giraffes can't dance' and discussed whether Gerald had a fixed or a growth mindset.
Hazel class are learning that it's not I can't, it's I can!
It's not I don't know, it's I'll give it a go!
It's not a mistake, it's a learning experience!
It's not I don't know anything, it's I don't know it YET!
