Google Expedition (19th April)
Today we took part in a variety of Expeditions, courtesy of Google. This involved the children being immersed in 360 degree images through phones using the Google Expeditions App. We travelled far and wide, including visiting volcanoes, experiencing the trenches of WWI, and going under the sea.
KNEX School Challenge (18th April)
Today, Year 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from space expert Jerry Stone to complete a KNEX Challenge.
Their job was to create a bridge that was sturdy enough to let vehicles across (tested with the use of weights, not a real vehicle!) However, the bridge also had to have a moving part that could let a ship through the water below.
All children showed great determination, problem solving and teamwork skills throughout and presented their finished pieces to the class at the end.
From this, each bridge was scored and judged by Jerry who then selected a class winner.
A big well done to our class winner! Their creation will now go through to be judged against the winning creations from other schools.
Well done to all children who took part. It was great to see your brilliant creations!
