COVID - 19

Covid-19 Related Pupil Absence Guidance (please note 14 days isolation was changed to 10 days on Monday 14th December)

If your child has one of the Covid-19 symptoms of:

  • a high temperature – this means feeling hot to touch on chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means being unable to smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

they must be isolated until a test has been carried out.  If the symptoms are of a cold e.g. runny nose, tiredness, aching or sore throat without any of the above symptoms then we wholeheartedly encourage you to send them into school.  Our hygiene protocols are still very much in place and we want children in school as much as possible.  If you are isolating one child with potential Covid-19 symptoms, then you need to isolate any siblings until a negative result has been obtained and evidence has been provided to school.

Please inform us of any absence by 9:00am as we need to account for the whereabouts all children.
