• Obstacle Time!

  Time for obstacle courses. The children did brilliantly and worked together in teams to help each other complete the course. Well done, Year 6! 

  

• Raft Building

  This afternoon, two groups took part in raft building. The children had to work in teams, think strategically and use the resources to create a raft. Once they thought the raft was safe and would float, they pushed it into the water. They had lots of fun working together, floating and falling in the water! 

  

• High Ropes, Crate Stacking and Obstacle courses

  Year 6 have had a very busy morning so far. Each group has completed either an obstacle course, the high ropes or crate stacking. The children have all displayed the learning values of team work and being brave as they try something new. It has been wonderful to see them encouraging each other.   Year 6 have safely arrived. They have already unpacked and completed two brilliant activities focusing on team building skills. We are looking forward to a busy day full of more activities tomorrow. 

• Springmead Big Read

  To show how much we still love reading, our Springmead Big Read today was a celebration of all things reading!  We came in our pyjamas and read to ourselves, read to each other, talked about our favourite books and teachers even swapped classes to read!  It has been a wonderful and reading-filled day, topped off by our "potato as a book character" competition.  Here are some of the amazing entries.  Congratulations to the winners (below) in each category and thank you to everyone who took part and donated.  £325 raised for our PTA!

• Jubilee Jamboree!

  The sun shone and our creative juices flowed for our celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.  The children enjoyed day of activities and created some incredible crowns for the competition.  Congratulations to our winners who took home their very own corgi!
