Uniform
School Uniform Policy
Pride and care in school uniform is an important aspect of school life and one that ensures pupils have care and respect in the school that they attend and those they work with. All pupils are expected to comply with our school uniform policy as follows:
Springmead Branded
- Green sweatshirt or cardigan showing the Springmead logo
- Outdoor Springmead Fleeces (optional)
- A Springmead branded or an unbranded dark green rucksack of a similar size (40 x 30 x 18cm). No patterns or other designs are permitted.
Generic Items
- White polo shirt
- Grey trousers, shorts, pinafore or skirt/skort. All skirts/skorts, shorts and pinafores must reach the top of the knee.
- Grey or black plain ankle socks to be worn with trousers/shorts
- Grey socks to be worn with skirts/skorts
- Black shoes - no trainers or boot styles
- White socks can we worn with summer dress
- Grey or green tights
- Green and white checked summer dress (optional)
PE Kit (must be plain - no logos or stripes)
- Plain coloured t-shirt in your child’s house colours from Smarty Schoolwear:
Seacole - Gold
Howard – Emerald Green
Nightingale – Royal Blue
Rosen – Red
- Black shorts or skort
- Single colour trainers
- Dark blue or black jogging bottoms (no leggings)
- Drawstring PE bag (no other style bags to be used)
Jewellery
Jewellery including earrings, rings and necklaces, should not be worn to school as they can cause nasty injuries in PE lessons and in the playground. If your child has pierced ears, children may only wear studs which must be removed or taped for PE.
Make up
Make up should not be worn at any time, including nail varnish, fake nails, fake tan and false eyelashes.
Hair
Hair should not be shaved in any way, including embellishments such as lightning bolts, patterns or letters. It should not be dyed. Hair past shoulder length should be tied back at all times. Please see above for guidelines on hair clips and bands.

PTA Pre-loved Uniform
Our PTA also offer a pre-loved uniform shop, the shop, run by our PTA volunteers, provides a means for parents to buy good condition pre-loved Springmead School uniform which has either been outgrown or unclaimed from lost property. It also supports the school’s Eco Buddies in their work in becoming a cleaner, greener school
